This notice explains how every.ke ("we") handles personal information when you visit this website and when your business uses the WhatsApp AI Sales Agent. We handle personal data in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
every.ke is operated by a company registered with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC), Kenya, as both a Data Controller and a Data Processor under the Data Protection Act, 2019, registration number 507-1539-1BAA. Separate certificates are held for each role.
This website
When you tap Book a free demo, WhatsApp opens with a message to our business number. If you send it, we receive your name, number and message through WhatsApp and use them only to arrange and run your demo.
Our hosting provider processes basic technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Cookies, Tracking and Activity Monitoring
We monitor how people use all of our websites (wpfoss.ke, wpfoss.com, partners.wpfoss.ke, rank.ke, every.ke, eadirectory.com, album.ke, album.africa, nipecode.ke, onduu.ke, ujiajiri.ke and insurepap.com). We do this to see what works, fix what doesn't, keep accounts safe and measure our marketing.
What we record: the pages opened, where visitors came from, the type of device used and the actions taken, such as tapping Book a free demo.
Google Tag Manager always loads on this site (except on the pricing page, where payments are made). It decides which tools may run and sets no cookies itself.
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and sets no cookies.
Our websites also send page views and clicks to our own server at wpfoss.ke, so we can see in one place how people use all our sites. This sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser. We recognise a returning visitor during one day by a scrambled code made from your IP address and browser, which changes every day; we never store your IP address. This count runs for every visitor on every page, whether or not you press Accept, but it skips browsers that send a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. These records are deleted after 365 days.
Tools that need your consent: these run only after you press Accept.
- Google Analytics sets cookies to show us how visitors use the site.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook) tells us which visits come from Facebook and Instagram, so we can measure our marketing there. If we advertise on those platforms in future, it may also be used to show our ads to people who have visited.
Google and Meta process this data under their own policies and may process it outside Kenya.
Your choice: when you first visit, a banner asks you to Accept or Reject. You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Choosing Reject later stops the tools, but cookies already set stay in your browser until you clear them in your browser settings. You can also block cookies in your browser, or use Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Paying on this website
Our pricing page has two M-Pesa payment forms. The plan form, for new customers paying for Starter or Business, asks for your business name, your name, your WhatsApp number and, if different, the M-Pesa number to charge. The top-up form, for existing clients buying credits, asks for the email you log in with and the M-Pesa number to charge.
We use these details to send the M-Pesa payment prompt to your phone, register your order, add credits to your account, and contact you on WhatsApp to set up your service. The payment itself is processed by Safaricom M-Pesa: you approve it on your phone, and we never see or store your M-Pesa PIN. The plan form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that it is being filled in by a person and not a bot, which means Cloudflare processes technical details about your browser and device for that check.
When your business uses the agent
Your agent handles conversations between your business and your customers. For that information, your business is the data controller and we act as the data processor: we process it only to provide the service, under our agreement with you. Conversations, contact details and bookings are available to you in your dashboard.
We use carefully selected service providers to run the service, including messaging, AI and hosting providers. They process data only on our instructions.
How long we keep it
We keep demo enquiries for as long as we need them to follow up with you, and client data for as long as the service agreement requires, then delete or return it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how we use it. Write to hello@every.ke. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
Changes
We will update this notice when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top of this page.
